Symbols in Filianism

There are various recognized religious symbols within Filianism, and here we will go over the most common ones.

The Silver Star

Classically known as a pentacle, the silver star is recognized as an important symbol in the faith. It denotes the prayer of the Silver Star, it is a symbol of Dea, and is used in ritual when one draws the star on oneself or over an item to bless.

The Fora

The Fora is an equilateral cross that is encircled, to denote the vertical axis of the world, or the pillar of truth, and the horizontal axis of being, the spectrum of existence, and it is encircled by the world of being.

The Janyatic Symbols

The classical astrology symbols have been utilized for the Great Janyati within the faith.

One may also see a sun for Dea, and a moon for the Daughter.

A small note on the fora; in older Madrian writings, you will often see it as a solar cross, but please be aware that this symbol has been co-opted by white supremacists, so many have moved towards more stylized versions to keep distinct from these nefarious movements.
